The Senate Budget Committee unanimously passed the New Jersey Family Collaborative Law Act on June 5, 2014. The Bill now heads to the Floor of the Senate for a vote of the full Senate. Those appearing on behalf of the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups were: The Council’s lobbyist, Valerie Brown, Linda Piff, Chair of the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups, Shireen Meistrich, LCSW and John Caroli, CFP. The New Jersey State Bar also supported the Bill as well as The New Jersey Law Revision Commission.
